Sometimes you want to convert a photo to Black and White/Greyscale for your own reasons. Below are steps that will guide you convert your photo to greyscale
Note: These steps were prepared using Adobe CC 2017
Open your image using photoshop
Select Image→Adjustments→Black & White.
The Black and White dialog box will appears.
Photoshop will also automatically convert the photo to black and white.
However, a black and white window will also appear where you can adjust the conversion to your preference
To do that:
- Select a Preset: Select a preset conversion from the window menu. Note that you can also use one of the presets as a starting point and then adjust from there.
- Select Auto: This option will analyze your image’s color values and then converts to grayscale, at the same time trying to maximize your gray tonal values.
- Adjust the sliders: Drag the sliders left to darken and right to lighten the tones. You can select the image areas you want to highlight by click using the mouse
